SPECIAL AREAS
A new concept for a contemporary trade show
Tomorrow’s landscape is a crucial theme of the Italian political and scientific debate. Flormart – GREEN ITALY addresses this topic by following two main directions:
the search for solutions and ideas for designing comfortable private spaces with low environmental impact;
urban regeneration and sustainable development of our cities.
For each of these two directions, GREEN ITALY dedicates a “green agora”, a special area conceived and created in collaboration with relevant associations and their partner companies, in order to showcase projects, trend development, and innovative solutions in an engaging and evocative demo representation. Let’s discover them all!
Public Greenery Agora | PAD. 8
by the Italian Association of Public Gardens Directors and Technicians
A temporary setup of a public green space where visitors can meet the Directors and Technicians of public gardens and learn about the management, care, and maintenance of parks, tree-lined areas, and public greenery in general. Visitors will also have the opportunity to discover sustainable innovations for the regeneration of public-use areas, with the goal of increasingly raising awareness of the social and cultural role that green spaces play in our lives.

The Italian Constitution has amended Article 9 by adding that “The Republic (…) protects the environment, biodiversity, and ecosystems, also in the interest of future generations.” With this necessary premise, AIAPP’s proposal aims to be an example of a typical Alpine lake ecosystem, by planting aquatic plants to enhance biodiversity and the variety of living organisms present within it. This project follows the norms of Nature Restoration Law, a new directive by the European Commission that sets the goal of restoring at least 20% of degraded terrestrial and marine areas in Europe by 2030, 60% by 2040, and 90% by 2050. The goal is to ensure the long-term provision of essential services for human well-being and support climate change mitigation and adaptation.
