Milan, May 20, 2024Planet 2030 is growing and becoming a Festival. The traditional event, organized by Corriere della Sera on the occasion of World Environment Day, will span four days this year at Triennale Milano: from Wednesday, June 5, World Environment Day to Saturday, June 8, World Oceans Day.

“Drought and floods, overheating, and circular economy are issues that permeate our daily lives and require reflection that lasts longer than a single day. To contemplate the state of health and the prospects of our Planet, more time is needed, and it is necessary to involve authoritative voices that provide everyone with the tools to become increasingly aware of what is happening around us, as citizens demand, starting with the youth. – explains Edoardo Vigna, editor-in-chief of Planet 2030 –. This is why we conceived a four-day Festival that engages everyone, allowing each generation to approach – together – topics such as the environment, nature, biodiversity, energy, and mobility, and that can, with a simple approach, bring together the most complex subjects.”

Planet 2030 – the festival, streaming on corriere.it and the newspaper’s social media, will structure its rich schedule into three distinct segments: mornings will be reserved for schools, with meetings and workshops for elementary, middle, and high school students. Special guests include Adrian Fartade and Gabriella Greison with their extraordinary programs dedicated to the youngest audience. The afternoons of debates and reflections will be opened by a speech from evolutionary scientist Telmo Pievani, the first of numerous Italian and international guests featured in talks and interviews. Additionally captivating is the world tour offered through the “Mappamondo” column, which, thanks to a dozen connections, will take participants from French Polynesia to Madagascar, from the Amazon to the Cnr station in the Svalbard archipelago. Each day will also feature photography workshops and two daily appointments with singer-songwriter Marianna Mirage, who will offer yoga sessions accompanied by musical journeys.

The days will conclude with an evening show, created specifically for Planet 2030 – the festival. The first to take the stage at the Teatro dell’arte of Triennale Milano will be Mario Tozzi on Wednesday, June 5, with his “Sapiens on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown”; Thursday, June 6, will feature an evening conversation with various guests, including writer Nicola Lagioia; finally, on Friday, June 7, the environment will be explored through the lens of satire, with some of the most interesting names in the comedic and non-comedic landscape.

In the numerous events of the Planet 2030 – the festival program, soon to be available and continuously updated on www.pianeta2030.it, authoritative representatives from the scientific, entertainment, and cultural worlds will take turns.

Participation is free and open until seats are filled. On social media, you can contribute with the official hashtag #Planet2030, while additional information will be contained in the weekly Climate and Environment newsletter.

Corriere della Sera, which will be printed on green paper on June 5, will also present a special green edition on the homepage of corriere.it and in the digital edition, and will be distributed in the main squares of Italy.

Planet 2030 – the festival sees the collaboration of numerous important companies actively participating in the event: Edison, Eni, and Rolex as Main partners; Fincantieri as Premium partner; Conai, Henkel, L’Oréal Italia, Philip Morris, Rekeep, and Simest as partners; Alens as Sustainability partner.

The event is supported by an advertising campaign created by CairoRCS Media and planned on all RCS media channels.
