Flormart City Forum, the special event dedicated to urban green areas and technology, overcame the challenge of its first online edition and registers participation figures that go beyond the initial forecast. During the 20 hours of streaming and 20 professional meetings, more than 80 speakers took part: at the end of the two days there were more than 2,300 registered attendees, in addition there were 553 online meetings between exhibitors and visitors, who were able to connect thanks to the innovative digital platform of Fiera di Padova.
At the heart of Flormart City Forum, conferences, B2B business meetings and a virtual exhibition area dedicated to green technologies and street furniture companies. Three main events characterized the show: “The city of herbs”, an online conference dedicated to medicinal and aromatic herbs organized by Erbaleforum; ECOtechGREEN Active, the international forum dedicated to green technologies and green infrastructures and Flormart GPP LAB, the platform dedicated to Green Public Procurement. Alongside these three events there was the Landscape Festival, a cultural initiative which, in recalling the 20 years of the European Landscape Convention of the Council of Europe, wanted to promote a reflection on the relationship between landscape gardening and sustainable development.
The comments from exhibitors
Satisfaction from the companies and the many associations present at Flormart City Forum. Aldo Alberto, President of the Italian Flower Nursery Association, underlines “the importance of initiatives such as those of Flormart, which shed light on the horticultural sector and its products, especially during the difficult period we are experiencing. Furthermore, a technological and innovative approach is not only promoted by Italian floriculture for the present but, we believe, will be further stimulated – adds Alberto – as the future is looking at an increasingly more connected and globalized society in which markets moves quickly and knowledge of the underlying dynamics will become fundamental “.
The National Exporting Nursery Association (ANVE) positively comments on its participation in the digital event: “We are proud to have taken part in such a unique event: the digital platform is a simple and intuitive tool for both visitors and exhibitors. The possibility of interacting with administrations through a large calendar of appointments provided as part of the GPP Lab is also very interesting. The rich program of streaming seminars has certainly completed the experience by giving an educational-informative cut to the event “.
There was also an excellent turnout for the event organized by the VivaiFiori Association, which presented its Quality Mark: “We are happy to have participated in this event; in fact, we were able to present our Quality Mark in an original and certainly unexpected way. The webinar that we were able to organize through the platform was attended by many and the feedback is certainly positive. Through the GPP Lab we also developed many interesting contacts for the future of our brand”.
