The new seafront ‘Lungomare Trieste’ in Lignano Sabbiadoro is to be presented at the ECOtechGREEN International Forum for the first time since completion of its redevelopment.
For over a century Lignano Sabbiadoro has played a strategic role in the tourism industry of the Friuli Venezia Giulia region. The 'Progetto di Ammodernamento e Rifunzionalizzazione del Lungomare Triesteʼ (the project of modernisation and redevelopment of the ‘Lungomare Trieste’) was started in 2009. The aim of the project was to create a balance between the past and present by preserving the existing shady avenue formed by two parallel rows of pine trees running on both sides and the full length of the road. This avenue represents the true symbol of the seafront. It is precisely to preserve the existing trees that an innovative, patented system for the strengthening of the root system has been introduced and was successfully tested here for the first time here. The project will be presented by architect Flavio Trinca at the ECOtechGREEN International Forum.
